WORKSHOPS

Be inspired and get creative!

Treat yourself or someone you love to an inspiring and relaxing session of creativity.

All equipment is provided though you are welcome to bring your own tools and apron if you prefer. Refreshments are included throughout the day and lunch can be bought or pre-ordered locally. For all sessions, please arrive a couple of minutes early to settle in. Unless otherwise stated, sessions are suitable for anyone over 18 or over 16 with an adult.

Your chosen pieces will be fired and can be picked up at a later stage.

We Run:

  • Throwing Taster Sessions - Learn how to use the wheel.

  • Clay Experience Days - An immersive experience for beginners & returners alike.

  • Throwing Clinics - Get expert feedback to move your practice on.

  • Practice Sessions - Un-tutored sessions for existing students.

  • Bespoke Sessions - Individual attention to family days - just email to arrange.

  • Specialist Craft Workshops - Selected tutors share their skills.

Our Clay Experience Day is a lovely way to experience working with clay. Starting at 10:30am and finishing at 4:30pm with an hour break for lunch, you'll be introduced to a range of hand-building techniques and be able to try your hand at throwing on a wheel.

Our expert tutor will be able to guide you through hand-building and throwing processes during the day (wheel time is limited by the number of students and wheels). You’ll also get the chance to try out a variety of surface decoration techniques.

At the end of the session you will be able to choose two pieces to keep. These will be fired and can be picked up at a later stage.

N.B. Firing is a long process and can take up to six weeks to be ready for collection. We will get in touch once your work is ready. Unfortunately, due to such a high demand for workshops, we can only keep finished work for two months.

All students are expected to adhere to health and safety procedures and share in cleaning up for the last 15 mins of the session.

Please note if you have a gift voucher from us, please contact us directly to book.
